BYU Educator Preparation and Licensure Program
As a UX designer for BYU's Office of Information Technology from January to August 2021, I led the redesign of the Educator and Licensure Preparation Program.
Previously reliant on paper processes, the admissions and information management for the School of Leadership and School of Psychology's master’s programs have now been transformed into a unified online system. This comprehensive platform integrates admissions, coursework, graduation requirements, and alumni information, ensuring the education department maintains CAEP accreditation and operates more efficiently.

Educator serves as a comprehensive guide for BYU undergraduate and graduate School of Education students, outlining essential steps for graduation, including fingerprinting, assessments, internships, and connections with mentor teachers and evaluators.
The primary goal of Educator redesign was to centralize credentialing information to maintain CAEP accreditation by transitioning all paper processes to a digital system, ultimately providing students, faculty, and administration with a more efficient and secure program experience.

The Educator Program impacts over 3,000 students, six school districts in Utah Valley, two master's programs at BYU, and all alumni from the Education Department.
I collaborated closely with key stakeholders, including the interim Director of the Education Preparation Program Accreditation Office (EPPAO) and the heads of both the Educational Leadership and Foundations (EdLF) and School of Psychology master’s programs at BYU.

At the start of Educator, I met with stakeholders from the EPP office and the directors of multiple masters departments and gathered requirements from them. Creating a new online system that replaced all paper processes of an education department required extensive research and testing. Pictured above is part of my ideating and wire-framing process that I presented to stakeholders.

I coordinated and led weekly meetings throughout the project, collaborating closely with key stakeholders, including the interim Director of the Education Preparation Program Accreditation Office (EPPAO) and the heads of the Educational Leadership and Foundations (EdLF) and School of Psychology master’s programs at BYU.
